XP & Ranks System

Khoda uses a gamified experience point (XP) system to track your progress and motivate your learning journey. Earn XP by completing activities and rank up from F to S.

How XP Works

Experience Points (XP) are earned by completing various activities on the platform. Your total XP determines your rank, which is displayed on your profile and leaderboard.

Ways to Earn XP:

  • Completing lessons (varies by lesson)
  • Finishing exercises (10+ XP, requires 70% score)
  • Using the Playground timer (5 XP every 5 minutes)
  • Completing learning paths
  • Sharing projects in the Playground

XP Features:

  • XP is tracked in real-time
  • All XP transactions are logged
  • Rank updates automatically when thresholds are reached
  • XP never decreases (only increases)
  • View your XP history in your profile

Rank Progression

Your rank is automatically calculated based on your current XP. The system uses the following logic:

Automatic Rank Updates

When you earn XP, the server automatically checks if your rank should be updated. If your XP meets or exceeds the threshold for the next rank, your rank is updated immediately.

Progress Tracking

You can see your progress to the next rank on your dashboard. The progress bar shows how close you are to ranking up.

Rank Rewards

Reaching certain ranks unlocks rewards. For example, reaching 2000 XP (Rank D) can unlock Premium access. Check your dashboard for available rewards.

Detailed XP Sources

Lesson Completion

Each lesson awards XP when completed. The amount varies based on the lesson's difficulty and content length.

  • XP is awarded immediately upon lesson completion
  • You can only earn XP once per lesson
  • XP amount is shown before completing the lesson

Exercise Completion

Exercises require a minimum score of 70% to pass and earn XP. The XP amount is typically 10+ points per exercise.

  • Must score 70% or higher to earn XP
  • XP is only awarded on first successful completion
  • You can retake exercises, but won't earn additional XP

Playground Timer

The Playground features an XP timer that awards 5 XP every 5 minutes while you're coding. This encourages consistent practice.

  • Awards 5 XP every 5 minutes of active coding
  • Timer continues even when the panel is hidden
  • Server-side throttling prevents abuse (max once per 5 minutes)
  • Auto-pauses every 20 minutes on mobile

Leaderboard

Your rank and XP determine your position on the leaderboard. Compete with other learners and see how you stack up!

• Leaderboard shows top users by XP

• Filter by time period: All Time, This Week, This Month

• Users with 0 XP are sorted by registration date (newest first)

• Users with XP are sorted by highest XP first

• Follow top learners to stay motivated
